Out and about

This is the outfit I picked up for an early evening out. I like the pink tone of the blouse, it goes very well with the colours of the jacket.
The necklace is a travel memory, bought it from Palma de Mallorca. It was made by one of the locals.
P.S. I'm a huge fan of National Geographic magazine.

Vintage Red

Sometimes I enjoy dressing and mixing up pieces of clothing that are or just look like old-school.
It's quite fun to play like this, to have an idea of how it felt like wearing some kind of clothes.
This outfit presented here maybe doesn't look really vintage, but I like it a lot.

Leather, burgundy and a little history

When I moved in Aberdeen I was looking on the internet for local attractions and so I discovered a little gem. I wanted so much to go and explore the historical and delightful corner of Aberdeen. Finally I got there.
It's about the village of Footdee, known locally as 'Fittie', a little village inside a city.
It's an old and small fishing village at the east end of the harbour. The cottages are uniquely decorated, some of them have lovely small garden plots and potted flowers. Some fish families are still living in the houses, but the area is no longer predominately lived by fisherfolk.
When we were walking around and admiring the houses and the gardens, it felt like taking a step back in time.
A very nice place, we loved it!It is worth visiting it, just to take a look at the tiny fairytale cottages.

Tartan all the way

We had a great day for finding beautiful new places. This time we discovered, by accident, Loch of Skene part of the Dunecht Estate.
Interesting place, also the weather made the walk even more pleasant.
I've found these trousers in a vintage shop and instantly caught my attention. I really, really like them.

On our way back home we stopped at Rubislaw & Queens Terrace Gardens:

Colourful green

In spite of the fact that was a bit chilly outside, was a lovely day for a walk in the park. And, of course, perfect time for some photos.

The accordion skirt

The start of our last day in Barcelona.
Near our hotel was a park, Parc de l'Estació del Nord, and we we're curious about it. So we decided to take a look. And I thought it's good moment to take some photos of me wearing the blue skirt.

Exploring Park Güell

    Stunning place with amazing views!
Park Güell is one of the most notable expressions of the desire for representation and capital city aspirations of the industrial elites of Barcelona at the dawn of the 20th century.
Park Güell was commissioned by Eusebi Güell, which entrusted Antoni Gaudí the plan to create a stylish estate for Barcelona aristocracy.
The location was very excellent, in a healthy setting with gorgeous views over the city and the sea.
The conditions of the building were very rigorous: only one-sixth of the plot could be built upon and the buildings assigned to residential uses. Güell aimed to create the selective British residential estates, that's the reason why he used the English form 'Park' in the name, Park Güell.
Between Güell and Gaudí was not just a simple relationship of artist and patron, but a true story of friendship. Güell was the only one of his contemporaries that understood better the essence of Gaudí's architecture. The two men intensively reviewed the planning aspects of the forthcoming residential complex and its illustrational components.
We don't regret visiting Park Güell. It was a pleasant and beautiful place. It's amazing how art can be found in every corner of the park and in so many different forms. I was impressed by the use of broken china in the mosaic design.
It is a lovely park, relaxing with interesting things to see.
